August 30, 2008- I'm at Chapel Hill today and have already checked on Timmy. As of 9:00am he was resting under sedation. His nurse stated that his skin grafts are doing well. Timmy is looking more and more like Timmy. He can hear people talking to him and is opening his eyes. He still has the burns on his back which will require additional surgery. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.
August 31, 2008- It's shortly after 6:00am and I have just finished checking up on Timmy. He rested well last night and is becoming more responsive. His night shift nurse advised his back is healing much better than previously expected. She stated that the skin grafts on the back won't be as extensive as first thought. She says probably the remaining skin grafts will be for his lower right and middle back and also his right elbow. Remember to say a prayer for Timmy and give thanks for recovery so far.
Respectfully Submitted,
David Ricke
